Why Is My Lenovo Acting Slow and How to Restart Lenovo Laptop Properly?

My Lenovo laptop has been freezing a lot lately, and I’m not sure if I’m restarting it the right way. I searched for how to restart lenovo laptop but found different methods like force restart, normal restart, and using shortcut keys. I don’t want to damage anything by doing it incorrectly. Can someone explain the safest and proper way to handle this?

If your laptop is actually frozen and the mouse won't move, the only "proper" way is to hold the power button for like 10-15 seconds. It feels wrong, but Lenovo literally designed it as a hard reset for when the OS hangs. Just don't do it while it's installing updates or you'll actually break something.

Your Lenovo laptop may act slow due to too many startup programs, low storage space, background apps, viruses, or outdated drivers. Restart properly by clicking Start, selecting Power, then Restart. Avoid force shutdown unless frozen, and update Windows regularly for better performance.
