How to Unsend an Email in Gmail?

I just sent an email by mistake and now I’m searching for how to unsend an email in gmail. Is there a time limit for undoing a sent email? Can it be adjusted in settings? I’d love to know how this feature actually works.

You can unsend an email in Gmail by using the “Undo Send” feature right after sending it; once you hit send, a small “Undo” option appears at the bottom of the screen for a few seconds (usually 5–30 seconds depending on your settings), and you must click it immediately to recall the email, otherwise it will be delivered permanently.

To unsend an email in Gmail, click Undo right after sending (within 5–30 seconds). You can adjust the time limit in Settings → General → Undo Send.

To unsend an email in Gmail, click the “Undo” button that appears at the bottom of the screen right after sending the message. By default, you have 5 seconds to cancel, but you can extend this to up to 30 seconds in Settings under “Undo Send.” After the time limit passes, the email cannot be recalled.
