What does E1 error code mean?

I’m seeing an E1 error code on my device but I’m not sure what it indicates. The manual isn’t very clear about this issue. Can someone explain what the E1 error code means and how to fix it?

E1 error code generally represents a sensor or communication error. In air conditioners, it usually indicates a defective indoor ambient temperature sensor. On laundry or water heaters, it normally indicates a problem with water intake or low pressure. Power reset; attempt to check your connections.
