Black dot on laptop screen

I woke up this morning and noticed a tiny, distracting black dot on laptop screen that won't go away. I’ve already tried cleaning the surface with a microfiber cloth, but it seems to be internal. Is a black dot on laptop screen usually a sign of a dead pixel, or could it be dust trapped behind the panel? If anyone has successfully used those "pixel fixer" videos or software, let me know if they actually work for a permanent black dot on laptop screen.

A black dot on a laptop screen is usually caused by a dead pixel, stuck pixel, or physical screen damage. If it doesn’t change color or move, it’s likely permanent and may need screen replacement.

A black dot on a laptop screen is often a dead pixel or dust trapped inside the display panel. It may also result from pressure damage or a stuck pixel. Software fixes rarely help dead pixels. If the dot spreads or multiplies, the screen may need professional repair or replacement.
