I want to insert a checkmark symbol (✓) using a keyboard shortcut. Is there a specific Alt code for it on Windows, or an alternative method if the code doesn’t work? Any tips for quickly adding it in documents or emails?
Checkmark (✓) can also be typed through an Alt code with the Alt key pressed and 251 or 10003 typed on the numeric keypad and then release the Alt key. Ensure Num Lock is on. This works on Windows. In Mac press option + V to include a checkmark.
On Windows, hold Alt and type 10003 or 10004 on the numeric keypad, then release Alt — you’ll get a ✓ or ✔. If you’re on a laptop without a numpad, use the Character Map app or copy it directly from here: ✓ ✔
