If you’re on macOS or Windows a text expander like PhraseExpress or aText can map “” → system-wide. On Android try Gboard/PokerFace Keyboard, and on iOS enable text replacements. That gets you custom shortcuts everywhere.

Not just different fundamentally inconsistent. Windows has an actual picker, macOS has a popup that’s less powerful, and mobile is IME-dependent. Really wish someone made a universal app that syncs custom emoji macros across all.

Honestly it’s not that bad once you memorize two combos. Use what works and don’t stress it. On mobile, just use your favorite keyboard with emoji suggestions boom, done.
