To download your Short video, go to YouTube, press the three-dot button beside it, and from the menu, choose the Download option.
Some Short videos cannot be downloaded to the app unless specified in the Download settings.
One has to find a third-party site to save it in the gallery on his/her phone. Copy the link of the video, paste it into the working downloader, and press download.
