How to add a device to the “Find My” iPhone without the device?

Does anybody have an answer to it?
I once found myself in a frustrating situation– I forgot to add my device to the “Find My” option before misplacing it. After a lot of hardship, one of my fellow friends helped me out of this situation.

Check out the mentioned below pointers to know how I got my iPhone back:

1. Signed In to Apple Account:
He took his iPhone and opened the Settings app. Tapped on Sign In and entered my Apple ID and password. Directly proceeding to the Find My>> Find My iPhone, to ensure it is enabled or not.

2. Opened iCloud on Web Browser:
I opened my web browser on my system and logged in to my iCloud. And then straightly went to the “Find My iPhone” option to check whether the list had the missing device name on it. (If you have signed in to your Apple account previously, your device will automatically be visible there).

3. Enable “Find My” Using Family Sharing Option:
At that moment, I remembered that I had already set up the “Family Sharing” option. Finally, I took my sister's iPhone, which was linked to my device, and traced my iPhone.

In essence, this experience taught me to always keep the “Find My” option enabled. If you have failed to do so, try any one of the aforementioned processes and retrieve your iPhone immediately.
