How to allocate more ram to Minecraft launcher?

To allocate more RAM to Minecraft:
  1. Open the Minecraft Launcher.
  2. Click “Installations,” then hover over your version and click “More Options.”
  3. In the JVM Arguments box, look for -Xmx2G (or similar).
  4. Change the number (e.g., -Xmx4G for 4GB RAM).
  5. Click Save and launch the game.
Make sure your system has enough available RAM.
 
To allocate more RAM to Minecraft, open the Minecraft Launcher > go to "Installations" > click the three dots on your chosen profile > "Edit" > "More Options" > under JVM Arguments, change -Xmx2G to your desired amount (e.g., -Xmx4G for 4GB). Save and launch.
