How to deactivate Instagram account?

You can disable your Instagram account by using browser login to access Edit Profile > Temporarily Deactivate My Account > Choose A Reason > Enter Your Password To Confirm The Action. After deactivation, your Instagram profile stays inactive until you choose to reactivate it.
 
To deactivate your Instagram account temporarily, go to Instagram.com on a web browser, log in, and navigate to your profile by clicking your picture in the top right corner. Select "Edit Profile," scroll down, and click "Temporarily disable my account." Choose a reason, re-enter your password, and confirm. Your profile, photos, and activity will be hidden until you log in again. If you want to permanently delete your account, visit the Instagram Delete Account page, log in, select a reason, re-enter your password, and confirm the deletion. This action is irreversible, and all your data will be lost permanently.




 
To deactivate your Instagram account, follow these steps:

  1. Open Instagram on a web browser
  2. Go to your profile and click Edit Profile.
  3. Scroll down and click Temporarily disable my account.
  4. Select a reason for deactivating and enter your password.
  5. Click Temporarily Disable Account to confirm.
  6. That's it.
 
To deactivate your Instagram account:
  1. Go to your profile and tap the menu (three lines).
  2. Select Settings > Account.
  3. Choose Temporarily disable account.
  4. Follow the prompts and confirm. Your account will be deactivated. That's it.
 
Go to Settings > Accounts Center > Personal details > Account ownership and control > Deactivation or deletion, then follow the steps to deactivate your account.
