If you are sharing the same situation, don’t worry, here I’m presenting the effective steps that I have performed first and eventually deleted my Instagram account without any hassle.
Reset Your Password: The Instagram account deletion process requires a password to verify that the owner is operating it. So, you need it first by visiting the login page of Instagram >> Forgot password >> Enter registered Email address or mobile number >> Enter verification 6-Digit Code >> Set a new password.
Keep in mind, that if you don’t have access to your registered email address or mobile number, first try to retrieve them.
Login With Your New Password: After resetting the new password, log in to your account just as usual, by entering your username and the new password.
Delete Your IG Account: Finally, visit the Delete Your Account page on the platform and comply with the instructions given there with caution to complete the deletion procedure.
To wrap it up, I know adhering to the aforementioned strategy took an extra step to complete the deletion process. But, speaking from my experience, it is worth making an additional effort to get rid of your old account straight away.
