How to delete multiple messages on Messenger app?

You can’t delete multiple messages at once on the Messenger app. You have to open each chat, tap and hold the message you want to delete, then select “Remove.” Choose “Remove for You” or “Unsend” if you want it gone for everyone. Repeat this for each message. For bulk deletion, you’d need to delete entire conversations from the chat list by swiping left and tapping “Delete.”

To delete multiple messages in Messenger:
  1. Delete entire conversation: On iOS/Android chat list, swipe left on a conversation, tap More, then Delete to remove all messages.
  2. Delete individual messages: Open the chat, tap and hold a message, choose Remove, then Remove for You or Unsend. You’ll need to repeat this for each message.
  3. For multiple messages at once: Messenger doesn’t allow selecting several messages—delete individually or remove whole threads for bulk removal.

The Messenger app still does not have a direct option to select and delete multiple messages at a time. You have to delete each message or conversation individually by long pressing them. But if you want to delete the entire conversation, long press the chat, then tap on the “Delete” option. Sometimes this happens a little faster in Facebook Lite or Messenger web version, but the bulk delete feature has not yet been officially introduced.

To delete multiple messages on Messenger, you'll need to either delete entire conversations or selectively remove individual messages within a conversation. For deleting entire conversations, you can swipe left on the chat and select "Delete". To delete specific messages, long press on the message, select "More", then "Remove" and choose "Remove for Everyone" or "Remove for You".
