How to edit name on Facebook profile in 2025?

I’m trying to edit my name on my Facebook profile in 2025, but I can’t figure out the steps. Has the process changed recently? If anyone knows how to do it, please share. I’d really appreciate the help!

Mobile

• Open the Facebook app.
• Tap the three horizontal lines (☰) in the bottom-right (iOS) or top-right (Android).
• Scroll down and tap Settings & Privacy → Settings.
• Tap See more in Account Center (under Account Settings).
• Choose your profile under “Profiles.”
• Tap Name.
• Edit your first name, middle name, or last name.
• Tap Review Change, then Save Changes.

Desktop

• Go to facebook.com and log in.
• Click your profile picture in the top right → Settings & Privacy → Settings.
• Select Account Center on the left.
• Under “Profiles,” choose your Facebook profile.
• Click Name, then edit your desired fields.
• Click Review Change, then Save Changes.

However, please note that you can only change your name once every 60 days.

To edit your name on Facebook in 2025, go to your profile, click the menu (three lines), then tap “Settings & Privacy.” Select “Personal and Account Information,” then “Name.” Enter your new name and follow the prompts. Facebook may ask for ID if the name seems unusual or changes too often.

Enter your new first, middle, or last name, tap Review Change, enter your password, and hit Save Changes. Facebook allows one name change every 60 days, and may request ID for verification .
