I want to see Google Discover in a dark theme — how can I enable dark mode for Google Discover on my phone?

To enable dark mode on the Google Discover feed, open the Google app, tap your profile icon, and go to Settings > General > Theme. Select Dark to apply it across Discover and search results. If your phone uses system-wide dark mode, choosing System default will automatically switch Discover to dark mode.

In order to activate dark mode for the Google Discover feed, it is usually necessary to switch on the dark theme for either the entire mobile device or the Google app since Discover generally adopts the system setting of the device. However, some phones like Pixels have this feature directly integrated and you just need to swipe left. To find out if your phone has a universal Dark Theme toggle, check the Display settings on your phone or go to the Google app, tap your profile picture, then go to Settings, then General, and finally, Theme to set it there if available, making sure that you are signed in.

To apply Google Discover to Dark Mode, you can enable system-wide dark mode or call on the settings of the Google application found in the same trimm to follow the automatic installation of a darker theme to the feed presented on Google Discover.

To enable dark mode on Google Discover, go to Google app → Profile picture → Settings → General → Theme, then select Dark.
