How to fix dev error 0x872394dc?

After a recent patch I started getting dev error 0x872394dc when trying to join multiplayer. The game either freezes or instantly disconnects. I’ve tried reinstalling the game and resetting network settings nothing helped. Please share any steps that resolved this for you.

After the last update I got the same dev error. What fixed it for me was the deletion of the playercache folder. Go to your documents and navigate to [Game Folder] or the documents of the game you just played then delete the cache files a restart the game. As well just make sure that you update your GPU drivers mine was two versions behind and the game apparently didn't like that. After that, there was a complete halt to the error.

Bro this piece of shit broke more than it fixed.
I legit took 2 hours trying to join match and everytime that happens !!!!!! 0x872394dc. What finally worked for me was the fact that I changed from fullscreen to borderless and disabled on-demand texturing. But no idea why that helped but it hasn't crashed since.

Not gonna lie reinstalling the game is not going to do anything for this error. There are two common causes of this happening: Its almost always network or shader cash is related.
People keep saying reinstall fix everything No it doesn't
Try flushing DNS + Restarting your router That fixed it with like 3 of my friends.

I swear with every new update every new update is like playing roulette:
Will the game run today? Yes/No/Dev Error
For real though I fix this by verify 2 game files (yeah twice, first time didn't do anythings. After the second verification it stopped the disconnecting.

This error normally appears after compilation of the shaders goes wrong after a patch. Here's what worked for me:

1. Clear Shader Cache (Nvidia or AMD settings).
2. Delete the shader's internal folder of the game.
3. Start the game and let it build shaders all the way on a multiplayer so it does that.

Takes a few minutes but they crashes disappeared after that.
