I’m getting Error 0x80070091 while trying to delete or move folders in Windows. It says “The directory is not empty.” I’ve tried using Safe Mode and command prompts, but it still appears. Any reliable fix or cleanup method?

Error 0x80070091 usually appears when deleting or backing up files. To fix it, restart your PC in Safe Mode, run CHKDSK or SFC /scannow to repair corrupted files, and clear temporary folders. If using Windows Backup, rename the affected folder or perform a system restore to resolve the issue.

You can fix Error 0x80070091 in Windows (usually happens when deleting folders like WindowsApps) by restarting your PC, running chkdsk, using Safe Mode to delete the folder, or running sfc /scannow and DISM to repair system files. If it’s a WindowsApps folder issue, take ownership only temporarily, delete it, then restore permissions. Avoid random “permission fixer” tools—they can break system folders.
