How to turn off iPad with buttons?

I'm trying to turn off my iPad using the physical buttons, but I'm not having any luck. Is there a specific button combination or sequence I need to follow?

Press and maintain the top button (power button) and either one of the volume buttons simultaneously .

Follow These Steps:

• With Home Button: Hold Top (Power) button → Slide to power off.
• Without Home Button: Hold Top (Power) + Volume button → Slide to power off.
• Force Restart: Volume Up → Volume Down → Hold Power until Apple logo appears

To turn off an iPad with buttons, press and hold the top button (also called the power button) and either the volume up or down button simultaneously. When the "slide to power off" slider appears, slide it to turn off the device.
