In What Situations Does Instagram Show Screenshots to Other Users?

I cannot understand when Instagram shows any notification on the screenshot. When one takes a screenshot of a post, story, reel, or DM conversation, will that other individual know? Instagram is in a way hazy, whereas Snapchat does it instantly. Has that anybody tested this as of lately or had any official statement regarding when their alerts go off?

Just a heads up, if you swipe up and the chat turns dark (Vanish Mode), don’t touch that power+volume button. It literally puts a text bubble in the middle of the chat saying "You took a screenshot" for everyone to see. Super awkward.
