Is the Experience on Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 Finally Worth Playing Now?

I’m thinking of starting cyberpunk 2077 ps5 and wanted to know how it performs currently. Are the bugs fixed, and does it run smoothly compared to earlier versions?

Yeah, it’s honestly a much better experience now. Lots of the major bugs are gone, and performance has improved a ton. It still isn’t perfect, but I’ve had way fewer crashes or weird quest bugs than at launch.

Performance on PS5 is fairly stable — around 40–50 FPS most of the time with occasional dips. The PS5 patch improved load times drastically, and many of the AI and quest bugs have been patched. It’s not bug-free, but much closer to a finished product.

It’s playable now! I only got stuck in walls three times today instead of seven. So yeah… progress! 😂 But really, it’s way smoother than the launch chaos.

Wait so… there were bugs? I just want to drive around Night City without random stuff exploding. Is it okay for a first-time player?

If you’re coming from launch impressions, the difference is night and day. Major stability updates, reworked driving and combat feel, and most blocking bugs are gone. It still has weird physics and occasional clipping, but nothing that breaks the game like before.

I picked it up again last month and finished both main and a couple of gigs. Honestly? It felt like a brand-new game compared to 2020. My only gripe was a couple of odd AI pathing moments, but nothing game-breaking.

Depends on what you expect. If you want a perfect bug-free RPG, no. But if you want a solid, fun experience on PS5, it’s definitely worth it now.
