Is the Logitech G600 Still Worth Buying for MMO Gaming in 2025?

I keep seeing people recommend the logitech g600, but I’m unsure if it still holds up today. How is the build quality, side buttons, and performance compared to newer MMO mice? Anyone using it recently who can share pros and cons?

The G600 in reality is still a good idea it has lots of thumb buttons, is comfortable to big-handed gamers and is as solid of a tank as the MMO clicks that cost less. The way it is button-laid out and feel are still admired by reviewers, but considering it is rather an older design, the sensor and weight are not as updated as newer mice. With that said, it is no longer sold as a current product in large quantities by Logitech, so is an item more of nostalgia/purpose purchase than a future-oriented purchase.

When your raid leader says bind everything to the G600 you bind everything.😂 To get MMO keybind sprawl it still feels like you have a mini cockpit in your thumb. Simply, no featherlight pro-FPS sensor; more like a tank with 20 buttons. Regrets when you will get a clean one cheap.

I have had mine a few years (purchased second hand). Advantages: the 12-button thumb cluster can be actually used during a frantic battle muscle memory will be developed in no time. Cons: it is bulky and the RGB and the old laser sensor makes it feel a generation behind the current optical mice. When you need wireless, or macros-streaming integrations or the best sensor/polling rates available, now there are superior new choices. When you are in need of raw button real-estate and do not mind ultra-light weight, that does the job as well.

.

G600 so far the side buttons will not be beaten, and the quality of build of the Logitech product implies that my own will work even after several years.

Absolutely but people complain of the sticky/stuck side buttons on these and other multi-button mice so reliability is varied and the newer models rectify many of these problems.

When you encounter a brand new G600 at an extremely good price or even the one that is well used but in good condition, then it is an excellent MMO mouse today more so when you want plenty of thumb keys and comfortable ergonomics. For a more contemporary sensor, wireless or additional software / streaming functions (Stream Deck style integrations), then recent MMO selections such as the Corsair Scimitar line or other 2025 MMO suggestions would be worth considering instead. Also consider existing reseller sales (Amazon/Newegg/etc.) prior to making the choice that they arise but in and out of stocks.
