My MacBook Pro’s trackpad is jittery after macOS update is it software or hardware?

Since my 2020 MacBook Pro has been updated to the macOS Sonoma, I have noticed that the trackpad is shaky with pointer jumps and taps not always counting twice. I attempted to reset NVRAM/PRAM, SMC reset and entered Safe Mode (still does this) and turned off Tap to click settings and turned on Force click settings (remains the same), and created a new user account to check (also the same). No fluid spillage and battery performance appears fine. Is it an established regression in Sonoma trackpad, or is it a bad trackpad cable? Any diagnostics or logs I can do any pre-visit to Apple Service Center?

It’s likely a software-related issue in macOS Sonoma since it persists across users and settings, but not confirmed as a widespread regression yet, run Apple Diagnostics (hold D at startup) to rule out hardware before visiting a service center.
