Can you tell me what is streak and how is it important in Snapchat also it's functioning.

A Snapchat streak (or Snapstreak) is a feature that tracks how many consecutive days two users have exchanged snaps (not chats). To maintain a streak, both users must send at least one snap to each other every 24 hours. A emoji appears next to the name, and the number shows how many days the streak has lasted.
