What are locked codes roblox and how do they work?

I keep seeing people talk about locked codes roblox, but I’m not sure what they actually are. Can someone explain what locked codes mean and how players are supposed to use or unlock them?

On Roblox, promo codes of which it is impossible to redeem since they are either expired or limited by the region or have other causes are called locked codes. They are inactive and bottlenecked, i.e. they are not working anymore or have certain restrictions like they need a specific level of players to be taken as has been mentioned in IGN and Youtube.
