When launching the game, I keep running into error code 1 minecraft. Has anyone figured out what triggers this error and which fixes actually work?

Error Code 1 typically indicates a crash of Minecraft during the start-up; the reason is that there is something wrong about your setup. Normally, they can be corrupted files, old Java or graphics drivers or non-compatible mods. Attempt to update Java and drivers, delete mods, or confirm game files. It is a generic crash indicator basically.

Error Code 1 has occurred to me when Minecraft is unable to start up Java properly or when some of your mods are configured improperly. Make sure to update Java to the latest version and that you are pointing to the right path, disable mods and update graphics drivers. It is sometimes provoked by corrupted game files or by bad JVM settings.

The problem of the error code 1 in Minecraft is usually caused by problems with Java, damaged files, or mods conflicts. When you use modpacks ensure that you have all the mods corresponding to your version and loader. The crash is normally fixed by updating Java, uninstalling old mods and reinstalling the launcher.

It is not this or that one thing, as Error Code 1 displays that Minecraft has not been started. Typical solutions are Java and graphics card driver updates, disabling of mods, testing of JVM arguments, and minecraft repair/reinstall. When it is modded, remove them one after another until you get the one that caused it to crash.

In my case, the Bad mods and wrong Java was the cause of Error Code 1. Ensure that your mod versions and loader are compatible, refresh Java and graphics drivers and delete corrupt files. In case you still have it, check memory settings and paths where launchers are found.
