What does the current NFL playoff picture look like right now?

As of today the AFC picture is basically Patriots and Broncos up top, Colts right behind them and it's a crowded middle with the Chargers, Jaguars and Bills jockeying for the last spots. The Patriots are currently sitting on 10-2 and are basically locked in, Broncos are 9-2, the Colts 8-3 and there are several 7-4 teams fighting for wild cards. In the NFC the Rams and Bears are leading things, the Eagles are still in the mix, and wild card spots have Seahawks, Packers and 49ers all breathing down each other's necks. Super useful to watch the next few divisional games a lot can still change.

Not gonna lie I did not see the Bears this on serious this year. Chicago been rolling and that Philly win was a statement. Meanwhile in the AFC, New England appear fit to be the team to beat (they're near unanimous to make it). If you're betting on drama though, keep an eye on denver they're hot and could nab the No. 1 seed if they keep this up. "

Practically speaking: The Patriot and the Bronco has the safest pivots Mest gum being Patriots and the Colts have way that after that the conundrum race is where any small result can make a big difference. Chargers / Jaguars / Bills are all around 7-4 and it is a single loss/wins to be out of a header shot breakdown, division record and conference record will matter a ton down the stretch. Also watch teams like the Ravens/Steelers a couple of wins and they can sneak into contention. "The probability models of the NFL reveal large disparities among the top seeds while a messy, high variance middle.

Bro chill they beat Philly once and suddenly they Super Bowl favorites?" Wins do matter however, look at schedule strength, injuries; Rams at 9-2 are still the class of the NFC. Don't crown anyone yet.

Quick watches: Patriots (control the AFC), Broncos (very dangerous) and Colts (playoff locks if they continue winning), Rams & Bears (top contenders in the NFC), Packers/Seahawks/49ers (wild card scrappers). If you are interested in one game to tune into choose the next divisional matchups (those flip tiebreakers). Also keep tabs on injury reports each week that's usually what swings this bubble teams.

In the AFC, teams like New England Patriots, Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts are among the top-seeded contenders, with wildcard spots up for grabs by squads such as Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Chargers.
