I recently heard someone mention ent linux in a discussion about enterprise systems. I’m not very familiar with it and couldn’t find clear explanations. When I searched for ent linux, the results were technical and confusing. Can someone explain in simple terms what it is and where it’s typically used?

I think the explanation of EntLinux in the original post is a bit vague, I'd like to add some clarity. EntLinux is essentially a Linux-based operating system that was developed by Enterasys Networks, a networking company, for use in their routers and switches. It's not a widely used operating system outside of the networking space, but it's commonly used in legacy Enterasys devices for management and configuration purposes.
