What is r6 marketplace and how do I store and/or purchase items safely?

Description: I have visited websites and Discord channels that sell Rainbow Six Siege skins and items in a Rainbow six marketplace, but I do not know the valid or permitted ones. I do not want to be ripped off or lose my account. Need advice on reliable eBay, credit card security and what is prohibited by Ubisoft policies.

It’s best to avoid third-party R6 marketplaces, as most of them aren’t officially supported by Ubisoft and can risk your account. Ubisoft doesn’t allow buying or selling in-game items outside the official game store or events. If you want to stay safe, only purchase through Ubisoft’s in-game store or verified platforms. Never share your account info or payment details on Discord or unverified sites.

R6 Marketplace is a community-driven platform where Rainbow Six Siege players buy, sell, and trade in-game cosmetic items like skins and charms. To stay safe, use verified marketplaces, enable two-factor authentication, avoid unofficial links, and double-check seller ratings. Always complete trades through secure payment methods to prevent scams or item loss.

The R6 Marketplace is Ubisoft’s official platform to buy and sell Rainbow Six Siege cosmetic items using R6 Credits. Use only the official site, enable two-factor authentication, and avoid third-party traders. Browse listings to purchase items or list your own inventory for sale. Never share login details to stay safe.

Speaking of the purchase of skins outside of the official game, Ubisoft does not authorize a third-party trade of real money. The R6 marketplace does not exist officially, which means that whatever you find in Discord or on random websites is, by default, a risky choice. In case you continue to shop around, use those websites that have buyer protection such as eBay or PayPal at least you can challenge the purchase in case things go wrong. And NEVER tell your Ubisoft login to anyone. It is the quickest method of losing your account.

Bro, the majority of those Rainbow six trading servers are just waiting to rip off an innocent person. When a transaction appears to be too good, then likely the dude is going to disappear after you pay. Ubisoft prohibits accounts on the purchase of illicitly acquired skins as well, so make sure. No official R6 market place, as CS:GO has a Steam one, and hence, all of it is unofficial. My advice? In case you are not able to confirm the history of the seller (screenshots, vouches, old accounts), do not.

Lmao my friend has purchased Black Ice of some guy on Discord cheap. Guess what he got? A motivational quote with a picture of saying, believe in yourself. :ROFLMAO:
And he lost his Ubi account as well.
As a matter of fact, there is no actual R6 marketplace, meaning that 90 percent of these shops are merely rebranding the same scam network.
Somebody back there will tell you it is safe do not listen until he wants to pay your next bill.

Idk man, I think it is not as dangerous as people make it seem. I have purchased some charms with the help of a seller and I did not encounter any problem. All the scammers in the R6 marketplace arena are not all there.
BUT yes, Ubisoft does not permit external selling of items, thus you may be caught and served as a scapegoat. At the very least, when you are using a credit card, make sure you use a platform that has a buyer protection. However, do not portray everyone as a scammer. Some are legit.

Here's how to stay safe:
  • Don't give anyone your login.
  • Do not purchase packages that are offered by sharing of accounts.
  • Confirm that the seller accepts eBay/PayPal Goods and Services in order to be able to chargeback in case of necessity.
  • Read the TOS of Ubisoft: they openly state that third-party transactions are against policy.
The best solution is, therefore, not to purchase anything out of the game, both honest and safe. The R6 marketplace is fully community-driven, as you find on the Internet, and Ubisoft does not take care of you or defend you in case of misconduct.

The R6 Marketplace is Ubisoft’s official trading platform for Rainbow Six Siege cosmetic items. To purchase or store items safely, always use your Ubisoft account, enable two-factor authentication, avoid third-party trading sites, keep payment details secure, and verify all listings directly on the official marketplace before completing transactions.
