what is vanish mode on instagram and how to turn it off?

I accidentally enabled something called as Vanish Mode in my Insta DMs. Can someone please tell what it is and how to turn it off?

Vanish Mode on Instagram makes sent messages vanish both upon reader interaction and after a user closes the conversation. To turn it off:

1. Open the chat.
2. Open the chat view and Swipe up to access "Turn Off Vanish Mode" within the interface.
3. Confirm. The messages will remain visible on the screen unless someone deletes them manually.
