What makes Texas football so popular and how are they performing this year?

I keep seeing discussions about texas football, but I want to know what sets them apart. Are they actually performing at a top-tier level this season, or is it just hype?

Texas football is a successful topic because it has had a long history, fan following is enormous, legendary rivalries, and massive game-day ambiance. They are doing well this year, and are leaving a good record, great defense, and major rivalry victories. They are a competitive program that is not in the playoffs but still is one of the most watched programs in the country.

They are good, not invincible, as a viewer of all the games of Bama with unhealthy stress levels. The O-line remains either a lot or nothing at all - there are games when the team would appear superior, and the following game, they would play as though they have no idea what blocking is. Defense is the actual thing though. There will be some ugly wins but it will also be a couple of blowouts. There can be playoffs in case things work out.

Bro, you are a Bama fan this season it is like being in a toxic relationship, you KNOW that they have the potential, but they repeat doing little things that stress you out. One drive and they appear to be national champs, next drive they appear to be a group project that no one did the homework. I am looking forward to at least one heart-attack game every month.

The reason I do not understand why certain individuals here continue playing the role of Alabama being average this year is not clear. Their defense makes them the best by itself. The coaching adjustments are also being underestimated seriously by people.

Calm down bro, they are not elite, they are good. You are performing as though they are not going undefeated when the offence is stalling all the other quarters. Defense can not bail them at each game. Be realistic top 10 team, not top 3.

They are certainly competitors, but not perfect. Strength that matters the most: defense and depth Alabama style. Weakness: strength at QB and WR chemistry. Most of their schedule should be won, but the fans cannot expect all the games to resemble a highlight reel. Consideration: good season, SEC title, playoff probable, but not certain.
