I'm updating my resume and wondering where can i put linkedin on my resume on top so it looks clean and recruiter-friendly. In case it touches on contact information, in my name or in any other place?

Hii Olive Including your LinkedIn in your resume is not a bad idea is almost like your extended resume. The best place is to place it next to your contact details so that it does not make your header look messy and unprofessional.

It can be done step by step in the easiest way as follows:
  1. Locate the Header: Click to the upper-right of your resume where your phone number, email and name are.
  2. Clean Up Your URL: Clean up the LinkedIn URL (in your profile settings) by putting a customized version of your URL in there (linkedin.com/in/yourname rather than some random numbers).
  3. Location with Website and Contact: In the same line bring your email or phone number. You may place a small vertical bar () or a bullet in between them in order to keep it on a single clean line.
  4. Hyperlink It: Right-Click, highlight the text, right- click and select Hyperlink. Insert your complete profile address. In this manner, a recruiter only needs to tap it and directly hit your profile direct without requiring to type in the URL of the site i.e. https://www.
  5. Optional Icon: Have it the fancy way: You can put a small simple LinkedIn icon beside the link, but plain text will also do the trick to ensure that it is pro.
Some advice: Do not make it a part of your name or make it complicated. All you have to do is to treat the digital address simple, and clickable, and easy to find!

You have the option to add the LinkedIn profile to your resume either in the top header next to your name or in your contact details section, preferably with your email and phone number. This is possible only when the profile is complete, professional, and tailored for the job application.

You can place your LinkedIn profile in the resume header, next to your name, email, and phone number. Use a clean hyperlink or shortened URL—this looks professional and keeps your contact section tidy.

Adding LinkedIn to the top of a resume is a common and professional practice when done correctly. Most job seekers place their LinkedIn profile URL in the contact information section directly beneath their name, alongside their phone number, email address, and location.

A LinkedIn profile should be included only if it is complete, updated, and aligned with the information on the resume. Recruiters often review LinkedIn profiles to learn more about a candidate's experience, skills, recommendations, and professional achievements beyond the resume.

The cleanest approach is to use a customized LinkedIn URL rather than a long default link filled with numbers and random characters. A personalized profile link appears more professional, improves readability, and makes it easier for hiring managers to access your profile.

Placing LinkedIn at the top of a resume can strengthen your professional brand, especially for industries that value networking, digital presence, and career accomplishments. It provides recruiters with additional context and may increase the chances of receiving interview opportunities.

To keep the resume looking polished, include the LinkedIn URL in the header section without excessive formatting or graphics. A simple, well-organized contact section allows recruiters to find your profile quickly while maintaining a professional and modern resume layout.

Place your LinkedIn URL in the contact information section at the top of your resume, alongside phone and email. Keep it clean, use a short custom URL, and avoid clutter or large icons to maintain a professional appearance standard layout.

It's really frustrating when you get that "this site can't be reached" error, I've been there too. Usually it's a simple fix, you can try checking your internet connection, restarting your router, or clearing your browser cache. Sometimes it's the website itself that's down, so you can try checking if it's working on another device or browser. If none of those work, you can also try checking the website's social media or official channels to see if they've announced any maintenance or downtime, that way you'll know if it's on their end or yours.
