Where do FaceTime photos go?

I clicked some pictures during a call and now I’m confused where do FaceTime photos go. I checked my gallery but didn’t find them. Where are they actually saved?

FaceTime photos are saved directly to your iPhone’s Photos app, usually in the “Recents” and “Live Photos” albums (since they’re captured as Live Photos by default). If you can’t find them, check if FaceTime Live Photos is enabled in Settings > FaceTime, because if it’s off, photos won’t be saved at all. I’ve seen that trip people up a lot.
