I’m finally starting to landscape my farm and I want to set up an orchard, but the spacing rules are a bit confusing. When planting stardew valley fruit trees, do the surrounding eight tiles need to stay empty forever, or can I place paths and grass there once the tree is fully grown? I want to make sure I don't waste any expensive saplings by placing them too close to the greenhouse or a fence line.
