I keep getting wplace 500 internal error when trying to paint or load pages it happens suddenly and refresh doesn’t help. Is this usually a server side outage, or are there client-side steps (clear cache, try another browser, check status pages) that actually help?

It’s usually a server-side issue. “wplace 500 internal error” basically means the backend is crying.
You can still try clearing cache or switching browsers, but honestly… if the service is down, nothing on your side will fix it. Check their status page if they have one.

Bro same 😂 I was literally in the middle of painting and the whole site just decided to explode internally.
Refresh didn’t help, incognito didn’t help, even sacrificing my router to the WiFi gods didn’t help.
Pretty sure it’s on their end.

IDK why everyone keeps saying “it’s always the server.”
I’ve had this exact error because of a bad extension messing with scripts.
Try disabling adblockers and privacy extensions they break more stuff than you think.

Classic wplace moment.
Sometimes the page loads, sometimes it doesn’t, sometimes it throws a 500 because it’s in a bad mood.
Just give it 10 to15 minutes. These platforms reboot faster than I do on Mondays.
