Why does a white screen suddenly appear when opening certain websites?

I have been experiencing an issue with a white screen whenever I open various websites (some of them being an online gaming site and even a WordPress dashboard, once). The page opens, it is absolutely empty and has no error message.I cleared the cache and turned off extensions, still the issue seems to occur occasionally. Is it more of a browser problem, a JavaScript problem or a server side problem? What do you do to diagnose correctly what is causing the white-screen look like this?
