Why Does My Browser Show ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE for Some Sites?

The ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE error means your browser cannot connect to a website's server, which can be due to network issues like a weak connection or router problems, or a misconfiguration on your device. Other causes include corrupted browser cache or DNS, a misconfigured proxy, or an issue on the website's end, such as the server being down or the site being unreachable from your location.

This usually happens when your network can’t find the site’s server. Most of the time it’s not your browser it’s your Wi-Fi/router acting weird. Try restarting your router, clearing DNS cache, or switching to Google DNS (8.8.8.8). Also check if the site opens using mobile data. If it does, then your Wi-Fi DNS is the problem.

Bro I swear this error shows up whenever my router decides to take a nap. 😂
I got it last week turned out my ISP blocked that specific site for some reason. I opened it using VPN and boom… instantly loaded. So check your ISP too, sometimes they silently block random domains.

Everyone says “restart your router” but that’s not always the fix.
ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE literally means the route to that server doesn’t exist. It can be DNS, yes, but sometimes the website’s own server is down or misconfigured.

Try pinging the domain or opening it on another device. If none can access it, the issue is on the website’s end, not yours.

This error is like your browser saying:
“Bro, I tried… but I have NO idea where this website lives.”

On a serious note:
Flush your DNS → ipconfig /flushdns
Restart browser
Try a different DNS provider
If nothing works, either your ISP blocked it or the site is dead.

Before you go nuclear with DNS changes, check your VPN or proxy settings.
I had this exact error because my VPN switched to some random server that blocked half the internet.
