Modern systems (like Windows 11) use RAM aggressively for: Caching & preloading (to make apps open faster) Background services Memory compression So even if few apps are open, RAM may still look “high” because the system is using spare memory efficiently, not wasting it. When to worry: RAM stays near 90–100% constantly System becomes slow/freezes Unknown processes using large memory
