Why Does ttps://docs.google.com/document/pii_deleted Sometimes Fail to Load?

I tried opening a shared document, but ttps://docs.google.com/document/pii_deleted doesn’t load properly. Is this due to permissions, browser issues, or a broken link?

It’s usually permissions. If the owner didn’t explicitly share it with you or set it to “Anyone with the link,” Google will block access. Try asking for edit/view access. Clearing your cache sometimes helps too.

Two big culprits:
  1. Permission settings
  2. Browser extensions blocking scripts
Try incognito mode and check if your Google session is active. If you’re logged into multiple accounts, Google sometimes serves the wrong one.

Oh sure, Google just randomly decides your perfectly good link doesn’t deserve to load today. Classic cloud logic. Maybe Google Docs is just “feeling lazy.”

99% permissions issue. If you get a “You need access” screen, that’s the culprit. If it fails silently, check your network/firewall (corporate policies sometimes block non-HTTPS ports/scripts).

Chrome handles Google Docs best every other browser feels like Google’s distant cousin who never got invited to the party. Try Chrome and see.

This happens to me too occasionally. Usually a quick refresh or switching accounts fixes it. Also make sure the link starts with https:// missing that can cause problems.
