Why does windows update say pending download on my PC?

In Windows Update settings I see windows update say pending download for several updates. I want to know why windows update say pending download appears and how to fix windows update say pending download.

“Pending download” in Windows Update usually means your PC hasn’t started downloading updates yet. Common reasons include a metered internet connection, paused updates, low storage, or temporary server delays from Microsoft.
