Why isn’t my keyboard lighting up on my Lenovo laptop even after pressing the shortcut keys?

I’m using a Lenovo laptop (bought last year) and I’m trying to figure out how to turn keyboard light on lenovo models because mine just won’t light up. I already tried pressing Fn + Space and also checked the function row keys that show the backlight icon, but nothing happens. I even went into Lenovo Vantage to see if there’s a setting disabled, but I couldn’t find anything clear. Is it possible that some models don’t come with backlit keyboards at all? Or could it be disabled in BIOS? If anyone faced this before, please explain step-by-step what worked for you and where exactly you enabled it.

Your Lenovo keyboard backlight may not turn on because it’s not supported on your model, disabled in BIOS or Lenovo Vantage, or the driver isn’t working. Check:
  1. Confirm your model has a backlit keyboard
  2. Turn it on in Lenovo Vantage / BIOS
  3. Update keyboard drivers
  4. Restart your laptop
