My phone has been plugged into a charger for so long, but it is not charging. Does anyone know why my phone isn't charging when it is already plugged in?

If your phone isn’t charging when plugged in, common reasons include:
  • Faulty charging cable or adapter
  • Dirty or damaged charging port
  • Software glitches
  • Battery issues
  • Overheating

Try using a different cable/adapter, clean the port gently, restart the phone, or check for software updates.

It could be due to a faulty cable, charger, or charging port. Try using a different charger and cable, clean the charging port gently, or restart your phone. If it still doesn’t work, the battery or port might need repair.

Short checklist try these quick fixes:
  • Swap the cable and wall adapter with one you know works.
  • Try a different power outlet or USB port (and avoid cheap phone ports on public chargers).
  • Inspect/clean the phone’s charging port (soft brush or toothpick gently).
  • Reboot the phone software glitches can stop charging.
  • Check for damage to the cable, port, or adapter (bent pins/fraying).
  • If it still won’t charge, boot in safe mode or check battery/charging settings for faults.
  • Last: test at a repair shop it may be a bad port or battery.
