How to Deactivate the Instagram?

I’m planning to take a break from social media for a few months to focus on personal projects, but I don't want to lose my photos or messages permanently. Could someone walk me through the step-by-step process on how to deactivate the instagram through the account center so that my profile is hidden but not deleted?

To deactivate your Instagram account:

• Go to Instagram settings (via browser, not app)
• Tap Edit Profile → “Temporarily deactivate my account”
• Choose a reason & enter your password
• Click Deactivate Account

log in on a browser → settings → deactivate account.

To deactivate your Instagram account:

Go to Instagram on a browser → Profile → Edit Profile → “Temporarily disable my account” → Select reason → Enter password → Confirm.

Note: You can only do this once per week, and not through the app.
