Can you connect AirPods to Xbox?

I’m trying to understand, can you connect AirPods to Xbox directly through Bluetooth? If not, can you connect AirPods to Xbox using an adapter? Please clarify whether can you connect AirPods to Xbox without extra devices.

You can’t just pair them to the console in the settings like you would with a phone. Xbox uses its own proprietary wireless thing, so it literally won’t even see your AirPods if you put them in pairing mode near the box.

You can’t connect AirPods directly to an Xbox because Xbox consoles don’t support standard Bluetooth audio. However, you can use a Bluetooth transmitter plugged into your TV, connect through the Xbox mobile app for party chat, or use a compatible wireless headset made for Xbox.
