Can you use PS4 controller on PS5 ?

Wondering if i can use a PS4 controller on a PS5 is it true? or its just me who got dumb besties

It is possible to play backward-compatible PS4 games on a PS5 using a PS4 controller (DualShock 4). Because native PS5 games make use of the DualSense controller's sophisticated features, such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, it is incompatible with them.
