Does the b660 ds3h ac ddr4-y1 support Q-Flash Plus for BIOS updates?

I just bought a b660 ds3h ac ddr4-y1 and I’m trying to figure out if I can update the BIOS without having a compatible CPU installed. I've looked at the manual for the b660 ds3h ac ddr4-y1, but it's a bit unclear. If anyone has a detailed walkthrough for the b660 ds3h ac ddr4-y1 regarding its WiFi drivers and M.2 slot speeds, that would be incredibly helpful for my troubleshooting.

Q-Flash Plus button is certainly found in the b660 ds3h ac ddr4-y1. It is found on the I/O rear panel. All you do is to get a FAT32 reformatted USB drive, rename the BIOS file to GIGABYTE.bin and insert to a designated BIOS USB port. It does not require the CPU or RAM to be installed.

The manual of these Gigabyte boards is, frankly speaking, rubbish. Before it occurred to me that it is marked in a small font, just near the USB ports, with the Q-FLASH letter, I took two hours to locate the button on my b660 ds3h ac ddr4-y1. Good luck, you're gonna need it.

In case you are concerned with the M.2 speeds, the top slot is also Gen 4 x4, and the bottom one is typically Gen 3 or common with the lanes to the SATA. Test your particular revision since Gigabyte is fond of modifying specifications in the middle of their production line.

Same here. My own was constructed only a couple of weeks ago and the WiFi drivers could not even install until I updated Windows first. Super annoying.

Considering that in 2024 you will purchase a motherboard and the documentation is still ambiguous. Veteran Gigabyte, in your face.

For the BIOS update:

--The most current version may be downloaded in the support site.
--Extract the zip.
--Rename the BIOS file.
--Stick it in the white USB port.
--Press the button with 24-pin or 8-pin power connected only.
The light must flash some few minutes. In case it is childishly discontinued, then your USB drive is most likely incompatible.

Wait, do you think it is the Y1 version? I believed that those were the OEM ones out of prebuilts. And that may be the case, in which case perhaps you need to visit the site of the system builder (such as CyberPower or iBuyPower) instead of the regular Gigabyte page.

RIP to your sanity. The b660 ds3h ac ddr4-y1 WiFi kept on dropping out and I had so many problems with it. I simply purchased an Intel AX210 card since the in-built one is average at best.

Nobody reads the manuals any more? The motherboard has the button literally on the motherboard. It has a little switch, which can be felt, somewhere on the bottom or on the back I/O.

Gaming on M.2 slots is not an issue on that board, and would not expect to achieve full speed with two Gen 4 drives. The B660 series has chipset restrictions that are quite strict in comparison to the Z690 stuff.

Advice: In case the Q-Flash light does not start blinking, use a smaller USB 2.0 drive. These boards dislike modern USB 3.0/3.1 drives to flash the BIOS, however, not because of any particular reason. I have a 4GB old hard disk, which I use to do this.
