How Are Businesses and Consumers Being Affected by the Latest Trump Tariffs?

There’s been a lot of debate about trump tariffs and their impact on imports, prices, and trade. For people following the news closely, what industries are actually being affected the most?

Listen up, let me tell you somethin'. You're all talkin' about trump tariffs but nobody's bringin' up the big picture. The real victims here are the manufacturers who have to absorb these costs & pass 'em on to consumers. Been in the business for 30+ years, trust me.

omg i havnt been payin attention to those trump tariffs ngl i was thinkin its just about imports and prices wut r u guys even talkin bout lol

hey guys, i'm gonna weigh in here. u're all talkin bout trump tariffs, but @Gdeathswebscar got it right - manufacturers are the real victims. Been in the business for 30+ yrs, seen this playbook before. now the costs r passed on 2 consumer. mark my words.

for cryin out loud ppl, listen up. 30 yrs in bussiness, I know what I'm talkin bout. u're all focusin on trump tariffs, but it's the manufs who r gettin killed. they gotta absorb costs & pass 'em on. consumers r gettin ripped off. Gdeathswebscar & MerylStreep got it right. this isn't just about import prices, this is about the bussinesses that are gettin crushed.

omg guys ngl i'm so tired of all the manufacturers tryin to shift the blame lol they gotta absorb costs, yeah sure but like, don't they take it out on their own profits 1st b4 puttin it on the consumer?

ok so like @AnnP111966 was askin about trumps tariffs and i gotta say i'm lowkey surprised nobody brought up the fact that china is basically just passing all the costs back to the us lol like its not like they care about helpin the american economy or anythin also can we please stop giving those manufacturers so much credit @Gdeathswebscar and @MerylStreep i get it theyre tryin to sound all knowledgable but like dont they just pass the costs on to their own bottom line or somethin?

Come on guys, let's cut the drama. @jessicabell, you think manufacturers take it out on their own profits 1st? Let me tell you, not always. I've seen it, been in the business for 30+ years. Sometimes it's a hit or miss, but usually they pass the cost right on to the consumer, no profit to take a hit.

Honestly, the biggest hit seems to be industries that rely on imported materials like steel, electronics, and auto parts. From what I’ve been seeing, businesses pass those higher costs to consumers, so everyday things like cars and appliances can quietly get more expensive.
