How can I tell if my phone is hacked or compromised?

My phone’s been acting possessed lately 😭 apps open on their own, random messages sent, and battery dies faster than my motivation on Mondays. Could it be hacked or just getting old?

Rapid battery drain, inexplicable overheating, sluggish performance, unexpectedly high data usage, strange pop-ups or apps, and unexpected outgoing calls, texts, or bill charges are some warning indicators.

Check for unusual battery drain, overheating, unexpected apps, slow performance, or strange pop-ups. If calls or messages send without your action, accounts log out, or data usage spikes, your phone may be compromised. Run antivirus, update software, and reset if necessary.

Sounds like your phone’s either hacked or trying to contact the spirit realm 👻
But seriously check your battery usage stats. If some unknown app is eating all your power, that’s your first suspect.

Also go to Settings > Privacy > Permission Manager and see which apps have access to your mic, camera, or location. If Candy Crush is tracking you to the grocery store, we have a problem. 😂

Install Malwarebytes or Bitdefender Free both solid for quick scans. If you’re on Android, use Google Play Protect too.
And for iPhone, check for weird profiles or VPNs under Settings → General → VPN & Device Management.

Before you panic sometimes it’s just buggy updates or rogue apps. Try Safe Mode. If the weird stuff stops, it’s not a ghost or hacker, just a shady app.

Also, unknown messages? Could be those SMS spam bots. Never click links in them. One wrong tap and you’ve basically invited hackers for dinner. 🍽️
