J Jamesandreson Member Today at 5:37 AM #2 If your phone is charging but CarPlay isn’t working, here are some things to check and try: Use an Apple-certified cable – Faulty or low-quality cables can charge your phone but not support data transfer, which CarPlay needs. Check USB port compatibility – Some car USB ports only charge. Try a different one labelled for data or CarPlay. Restart your phone and infotainment system – A simple reboot can reset the connection. Ensure CarPlay is enabled – On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > CarPlay and make sure your car is listed and allowed. Update iOS and car software – Outdated software can cause connection issues. Try another phone or cable – This helps rule out whether it’s your phone or the car’s system. Reset network settings – Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. If none of these work, your car system may need a firmware update or a check at a service center.
