How do I get a Snapchat+ Badge?

I’ve seen some users with a Snapchat+ Badge next to their name and I’m wondering how to get it. Do you need to subscribe to something, or does it unlock automatically after a certain level of activity? Also, does the badge appear instantly after subscribing?
If anyone has Snapchat+ and can explain the steps, that would really help!

Snapchat+‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ is a subscription that can be obtained from the Snapchat app under your profile settings. After you subscribe and turn on the badge feature, the badge will be there on your ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌profile.

To earn a Snapchat+ Badge, you have to subscribe first to Snapchat+ (the premium plan with a monthly or yearly payment). Then, on your profile page, you have to tap on the Snapchat+ card and turn on the Snapchat+ Badge next to your name.
