How do I get rid of split screen on iPad easily?

Drag the Divider Bar (the black line in the middle)
  • Swipe it all the way to the edge of the screen (left or right), depending on which app you want to keep.
  • This will close one of the apps and return to full screen.
 
To get rid of split screen on an iPad, simply drag the black divider bar in the middle all the way to the edge of the screen—either left or right—until one app takes over the full screen. Alternatively, you can tap the multitasking icon (three dots) at the top of one app and select “Full Screen” to exit split view quickly.
 
To exit split screen on iPad, drag the divider bar all the way to the left or right edge of the screen until one app disappears. Alternatively, swipe up to open the App Switcher and close the unwanted app. This restores full-screen mode.
