To me, I would recommend the installation of all possible reports: Performance, Coverage, Mobile Usability, Security Issues, Sitemaps.
Review crawl errors at least once a week, resubmit revised sitemaps with every addition of new content and use Search Analytics to identify the keywords that are being clicked on. In the long run, this information will assist in the prioritization of the use of the pages to be enhanced initially.
It is all about monitoring tendencies and the correction of mistakes as effectively as possible, and not about overnight improvements.
